    Product Tags

    The petroleum density meter online is used to classify physical properties of crude oil and refined products and chemicals directly within a pipeline or process stream. It offers continuous density measurement around the clock without time-consuming and costly sampling! The inline density meter for petroleum products outperforms other inline meters in both accuracy and repeatability under real-world operating conditions.

    Product Features

    Utilize non-contact ultrasonic technology without interrupting flow;

    Robust, waterproof and explosion-proof design improves its safety grade;

    Simple mechanical structure & no moving parts;

    Support multiple communication interfaces like RS485, Modbus, Profibus-DP, Bluetooth, Hart, etc.

    High accuracy and reliability ensures consistent results across varying conditions;

    Rugged and fully encapsulated construction;

     High-performance technology for error suppression with high froth content;

    Working Principle

    It operates on the principle of sound speed measuring through flowing fluids. Build-in processing sensor emits and receives high-frequency sound waves. The meter features a transmitter (emitter) and a receiver (detector) positioned at a fixed distance. These are typically made of piezoelectric materials that convert electrical signals into ultrasonic waves and vice versa. The time it takes for the ultrasonic waves to travel through the fluid (transit time) is measured, which varies with fluid physical properties like density, temperature and composition.

    Product Advantages

     Extended operating temperature range of up to 200 °C;

     Withstand process pressures as high as 500 bar (customization needed);

    Intuitive digital interface streamlines continuous density measuring;

    Long-time data acquisition and tracking;

    Three parameters output simultaneously: density, temperature and velocity;

    Application

    ● Quality Control and Blending: Monitors density to ensure consistent product specifications during refining or mixing of fuels.
    Custody Transfer: Converts measured volume to mass for accurate billing, often integrated with flow meters.
    Process Optimization: Detects changes in composition to reduce waste and energy use.
    Compliance: Meets industry standards for trading and transportation of fuels.
