The online liquid density meter is a dedicated inline density measuring instrument for pipelines, reactors and storage tanks in process control. Real-time density data of a continuous stream measured by the inline liquid density meter enables automated process adjustments, being crucial for ensuring unwavering product consistency and dramatically reducing reject rates and material waste. The density meter for liquids is engineered for seamless integration with existing PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems.

Working Principle

The liquid density meter utilizes ultrasonic sensing technology to measure the transmission time of the sound wave from the signal source to the signal receiver. The direct correlation between speed of sound waves and liquid density helps in calculation of density reading. Waves travel slower in denser materials and faster in less dense ones. The density meter liquid is designed to address challenges in continuous density monitoring, serving as an inline density measurement instrument in data-driven process control.
