Short Description:

The inline salinity meter, aka salinity concentration meter or inline salt concentration meter, is an industrial pipeline salinity analyzer to monitor salinity content for a continuous stream in real-time. It’s installed on pipelines, reactors, or storage tanks in process lines without intervention to normal operation of production lines and offline sampling, reducing risks of human error by automating data logging and documentation.

    Working Principle

    The built-in brine concentration sensor utilizes the direct correlation between salinity concentration and liquid density. The salt concentration sensor is excited by a piezoelectric tuning fork to vibrate at its natural frequency. Fluid density is in inversely proportion to frequency shift. The greater the density, the more mass the tines have to vibrate, and the lower their frequency becomes. It’s applicable to monitor salt content before crystallization in chemical engineering in case a high precision and accuracy is required. It excels in long-term stable monitoring with an accuracy of ±0.2% even in corrosive media.
